Burntwood author delivers signed copies of new book to mark Girls’ Football Week

A Burntwood author has celebrated Girls’ Football Week by signing copies of one of his books for junior players.

Paul Mullins released his first title Leah and the Football Dragons in 2014 and will see his third title go into print in June.

But to mark Girls Football Week, Wyrley Juniors bought 120 of his books to hand out to their players.

Paul – who signed all of the copies before they were handed out – said: “I wrote Leah and the Football Dragons to highlight the difficulties some girls had to get a team to play football for.

“Although there are far more girls teams out there than ever before, the Football Association’s Girls’ Football Week is there to encourage them to get into the game.”

Paul’s next book is available to pre-order via his website.
