Lichfield City FC have missed out on the chance of playing their Walsall Senior Cup clash at the Banks’s Stadium.

Their final with Rushall Olympic had been scheduled to take place at Walsall’s home ground.

But with the Saddlers facing a potential play-off campaign, the fixture has now been moved to Chasetown FC’s Scholars Ground.

A Staffordshire FA statement said: “The tie was scheduled to take place at the Banks’s Stadium, but the decision has been made due to Walsall’ss involvement in League One promotion race.

“The Staffordshire FA would like to thank both Chasetown and Walsall for their assistance in this matter and we would like to wish Walsall well in their promotion challenge.”

The Walsall Senior Cup final will kick-off at 7.45pm on May 9.
