An exhibition of author JRR Tolkien’s life in Staffordshire will come to Lichfield later this year.
More than 4,000 visitors have already visited the exhibition during its stay at the Museum of Cannock Chase.
JRR Tolkien – Soldier and Myth Maker follows the Lord of the Rings author’s life in the county, which began when he was stationed at Whittington Heath during the First World War.
The exhibition – which forms part of The Great War Staffordshire project – features rare photos and original sketches by Tolkien, and will be at Lichfield Library from November 18 to January 8.
