People in Lichfield and Burntwood will get the chance to find out if their MP finds love in a charity TV programme this week.
Conservative MP Michael Fabricant will star on Celebrity First Dates which airs on Channel 4 at 9pm on Thursday (November 2).
Mr Fabricant will appear alongside other well known faces for the special edition of the show.
“It was a sometimes terrifying whirlwind date,” he said. “I have never done a totally blind date before. But you need to tune in to see what happens.
“I am not taking any fee for this programme,. Instead £20,000 will be donated by Channel 4 to the Stand up to Cancer charity run by Cancer Research UK.”
Might be worth watching if they fixed up a date with Yasmin Alibhai-Brown. I’d even pay for tickets to see that one :)
He may be ‘not exclusively gay’ but he’s a committed idiot and charlatan.
He simply never fails to deliver, that is of course with the exception of when he’s doing his day job. Just caught the highlights on Gogglebox and I can’t believe she called him out on the hair. LMBO
Charmless, ignorant buffoon would like to meet…anyone sycophantic.
Most MPs are no longer statesmen, and MF definitely isn’t. I watched the programme and it was cringe worthy viewing. I think he went to the same bafoon school as Boris Johnson. Someone save us, please!
The whole thing was cringeworthy, for me nothing more so than he felt the need to say “MP” after his name when they were greeting.
About the only good thing to come out of this was the £20,000 to help fight the blight of cancer.
