Police are urging parents to ensure they know where their children are after reports of groups gathering in the grounds of a Shenstone church.

Officers have been called to “regular” reports of teenagers meeting in the sensory garden at Trinity Methodist Church in recent weeks.
PCSO Andrea Horsnall said such actions were “totally ignoring” current COVID-19 restrictions – and urged parents to ensure they knew where their children were.
“There have been regular complaints concerning the way youths in the village, and their associates from outside the area, have been gathering and using the garden to drink alcohol and smoke cannabis.
“Damage has been caused to the plants in the garden and graffiti has been sprayed on the bench and wall. Litter is regularly strewn across the garden.
“This total disregard for a community facility is totally unacceptable and carries with it the danger of spreading COVID-19 to households in the village.
“Parents are urged to ensure their teenagers are not out socialising in the village.
“We have to work together to prevent the spread of the virus. This is a difficult period for everyone, but we have to work together as a community in order to emerge from this pandemic as soon as possible.”
