Lichfield and Burntwood’s MP has urged the Government not to miss the opportunity to permanently change the way people work when the coronavirus crisis is over.
Lichfield’s MP has said a move by council officials to order a local business to tear up tape marking social distancing was “neither fair nor sensible”.
Council chiefs say they are “urgently” reviewing their guidelines after a Lichfield business was ordered to remove tape marking out social distancing spaces over concerns they were a trip hazard.
A Lichfield charity has urged councils to utilise the knowledge of local organisations to address new Government advice for people to cycle and walk rather than use public transport during the coronavirus crisis.
