ALREWAS bounced back to winning ways in the league with a six-wicket triumph over Chesterfield.
After being sent into the field by the visitors, the Herons found early wickets tough to come by.
Chesterfield opener Reece Johnson made 14 while fellow opener Harry Wilmott scored 46 from 55 balls as they reached 75-2.
But Alrewas’ Paul Dawson was in inspired form with the ball as he claimed five wickets to rattle through the top and middle order.
Ben Lodge offered some resistance as he scored 20, but Chesterfield found themselves bowled out for 152.
Alrewas nerves were jangling when they found themselves on 38-2 in reply.
But a fine 62 not out from Tevyn Walcott helped them to pass the total for the loss of just four wickets.
