LICHFIELD City suffered another disappointing defeat after going down 4-1 at home against Mossley.
The managerless hosts remain one place off the foot of the Northern Premier League after suffering their 10th loss in 11 outings this season.
The Trade Tyre Community Stadium side's hopes of getting off to a positive start were dashed within two minutes as Charlie Frost's finish beat Tom Carter in the City goal.
Mossley's advantage was doubled after half an hour as they latched onto a loose ball before Frost kept his cool to slot home his second of the afternoon.
But Lichfield found a potential route back into the game five minutes into the second half when a corner was headed back across goal by Olly Titterton for skipper Tom Brown to nod home and make it 2-1.
The hope was soon extinguished though as Frost completed his hat-trick with a half-volley from the edge of the box.
City's leaky defence was breached once more a minute later as the clinical Frost was put through one-on-one before rounding Carter and wrapping up a 4-1 win for Mossley.
