ALREWAS claimed victory after overcoming a battling wobble at Ticknall.
The hosts won the toss and sent the Herons out to field first.
Ticknall scored steadily in their innings, with Richard Woodburn the pick of the batsmen as he notched up 70 runs before being caught by Stephen Cole off Ben Foley’s bowling.
The home side were eventually skittled out for 185, which Craig Swinfield the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-48.
Things looked to be heading in the wrong direction as Alrewas began their innings with opener Gareth Wooley going for a duck and his partner departing after hitting just one run as they slumped to 2-2.
Freddie Clarke became the third wicket to fall with just 15 runs on the scoreboard and the Herons well and truly in a flap.
But Cole and Tevyn Walcott steadied the ship with knocks of 69 and 66 respectively.
James Burton and Ben Foley then saw their side past the target for the loss of five wickets.
