JULES O'Brian is bringing her "sharp, intelligent and quietly rebellious" stand-up show to The Hub at St Mary's.
Taking place on 30th September, the evening will feature an exploration of the expectations, advice and rules we're all supposed to follow as we get older.
The comic takes aim at everything from inspirational quotes to unsolicited life advice, questioning who they really serve – and what happens when we ignore them.
Jules moved into comedy after spending 16 years as a secondary school English teacher, going on to perform across the UK and Europe.
Anthony Evans, creative director at The Hub at St Mary's, said:
"Nominated for the Birmingham Comedy Festival Breaking Talent award in 2022, Jules’ comedy is always delivered with her signature charm.
"Known for her deft comedic timing and natural stage presence, she gets everyone on board."
Tickets are £12 and can be booked at thehubstmarys.co.uk.
