A GUINNESS World Record holder with ADHD and autism who has overcome addiction and depression is returning to give another talk in Lichfield.
Andy Stone, a neurodiversity and wellbeing mentor, will return to the Lichfield Guildhall in October with his talk The Science of ADHD and the Six Pillars of Health.
It comes after a sell-out event in the city in March.
He has previously spent decades struggling with his mental health, was expelled from two schools, battled alcohol and cocaine addiction and reached the point of wanting to end his life.
But today he is 10 years sober and in June 2022 completed 70 half-iron triathlons in just 75 days, covering the equivalent distance of London to Beijing, to earn his place in the Guinness World Records.
Andy said:
"The Lichfield talk in March was phenomenal and by far the best turnout I have had across all my talks in the region.
"The response afterwards has been incredible and it really does show how much this conversation is needed.
"For most of my life I had no idea why my brain worked the way it did. Once I understood that, everything shifted. That is what I want people to leave with. ADHD isn't a flaw.
"When you understand how your brain is wired, it becomes your biggest asset."
The talk is open to anyone aged 12 and over and is suitable for people with ADHD, parents and carers, educators and anyone who wants to better understand neurodiversity.
