LICHFIELD’S Finlay Lines fought back to take a well-earned top six finish in round four of the 2025 Wera Tools British Kart Championships.

Setting the fourth fastest time in qualifying meant the Argenti Motorsport Academy driver had the chance to fight at the front in both heats at GYG Karting in Wales.

But the first one didn’t go as planned, with contact from behind pushing Lines into his teammate, causing him to finish with a nosecone penalty.

It meant he dropped back to 17th in the standings, but the second heat was a much better affair as the Lichfield driver battled hard throughout and avoided any on-track incidents to pick up a fourth place finish.

The final race saw Lines start tenth on the grid – and he fought back well to climb four positions in the 18-lap contest and finish sixth.
