A NEW production at Lichfield Cathedral will shine a spotlight on the story of how war changed the lives of Ukrainians.
Written by acclaimed playwright Mark Wheeller, 24 Feb 22 What A Difference A Day Makes, explores stories of displacement, welcome and belonging.
The story is drawn directly from interviews with people in Ukraine and within the Lichfield community, tracing the moment ordinary lives were split into before and after the outbreak of war.
Set in classrooms, kitchens, churches and living rooms, the play captures voices rarely heard on stage – young people who fled with little more than a bag, parents navigating fear and uncertainty, teachers, and hosts discovering what it truly means to welcome strangers.
