Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman’s car window was smashed with a crowbar in a road-rage incident in Lichfield.
The incident happened on The Friary at around 4.30pm on November 19.
A grey Fiat Panda car, driven by a 23-year-old Lichfield woman, was going around the Bowling Green island in the right-hand lane when it appeared to be cut up by a motorbike which swerved off the road, onto a grass verge, and than back onto the carriageway.
The male motorcyclist started to kick her car causing the woman, who was alone in her car, to pull over further up The Friary, near the Birmingham Road island.
He then began to hit the woman’s car with a crowbar, smashing the small panel window on the passenger side. The victim, who was not injured but was badly shaken, drove off.
Officers want to speak to other motorists who were using the road at that busy time of day. The motorbike is described as dark-coloured and high-powered, while the offender was wearing a dark crash helmet.
