People in Burntwood are being given the chance to be bowled over at new walking cricket sessions taking place in the town.
The initiative is open to older men and women and will see the first session take place on 8th November between 3.30pm and 5pm at Burntwood Leisure Centre.
Councillor David Leytham, Cabinet member for leisure at Lichfield District Council, said: “In partnership with Staffordshire Cricket, we’re pleased to be adding walking cricket to our list of Active Lichfield activities aimed at the over 50s.
“It’s a great way to play the game but at a gentler pace. It joins walking football and netball and archery in our line-up of weekly sessions for adults.”
Sessions cost £2.50 a time and there’s no need to book.
