Walking football sessions for women are starting in Burntwood.
The sessions will be held at the town’s leisure centre from April 25.
The scheme is aimed at women aged over the age of 50 and is designed for players of all abilities.
Tasmin Turner, sports development officer for Lichfield District Council, said: “Walking football is growing in popularity and so we’re delighted to be launching this additional weekly session.
“There’s no advantage to being quick on the pitch, which is a great leveller, making the game fair and great fun for all.”
A fully qualified walking football coach will be delivering the sessions on Burntwood Leisure Centre’s 3G synthetic football pitch.
The weekly sessions will run weekly from April 25, between 5pm and 6pm. It costs £2.50 a session.
