Pews from a local church have found a new lease of life in the local community.
The eleven benches from St Giles Church had been removed as part of a renovation project which will see the creation of a new social space and disabled toilet.
But having been sat upon by many generations of Whittington residents, they were offered to local people via Facebook.
So many expressed an interest that within a few hours they had all been claimed.
