Tributes have been paid to a former Burntwood schoolboy who has died.

Thirteen-year-old Connor Allen died yesterday (March 28) after suffering a heart attack and friends have been speaking of their shock.

He had been a pupil at Chase Terrace Technology College before recently switching to Cannock Chase High School.

An online memorial page has been set up where friends have described how the youngster would be missed.

An entry on the page said:

“Shed a tear or two tonight. Can’t believe you’ve gone, but never forgotten. Gone far too soon. Always remembered.”

Meanwhile, friends have also been sharing their memories on Facebook.

One wrote:

“We will all miss you deeply. Forever in our thoughts.”

Another added:

“Thirteen is too young too die, little man. Sleep tight.”

The Midlands Air Ambulance was called out to his home in Chadsmoor, Cannock, at around 5.30pm yesterday.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said:

“Crews arrived to find a teenage boy who was in cardiac arrest. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, nothing could be done to save the boy and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
