VISITORS from a galaxy far, far away will be making a return visit to Lichfield city centre next weekend.
The Hub at St Mary's is hosting the Space Invasion 2026 on 12th and 13th September, which will see costumed characters from film and television sci-fi hits taking to the streets.
The good, the bad and the ugly from every corner of the galaxy may be dropping in at various times over the weekend, including Darth Vader, Imperial Stormtroopers, Daleks and the Ghostbusters car.
People are being invited to get into the out-of-this-world spirit by dressing up as their own favourite characters as well – with a small treat on offer at The Hub for every child in costume.
Event organiser Simon Horton said:
"As Stormtroopers and Daleks invade Lichfield, it’s time to dig out your best sci-fi costume and join in the fun.
"Don’t forget to pop into The Hub for a spot of Jedi training and TARDIS spotting."
The event will raise funds for the community work of The Hub at St Mary's along with Elaine's Toy and Gift Appeal.
