A NEW series of meditation classes is launching in Lichfield.

The Calm Mind, Happy Life sessions will be run by Gen Dema, a Buddhist nun from Tara International Kadampa Retreat Centre.

They take place at Curborough Community Centre on Thursdays at 7.15pm from 22nd October.

A spokesperson said:

"Learn practical Buddhist wisdom and meditation techniques to develop a calm, peaceful mind and experience greater happiness and contentment.

"Discover how to remain peaceful and positive, even when life is challenging.

"We sit on chairs and the session includes two guided meditations and a talk. After the class there is time to chat and ask questions while enjoying refreshments.

"Each session is self-contained so you can join at any time."

Classes cost £7 and can be booked online at taraikrc.org/pages/meditate-in-lichfield or paid in cash on the night.
