Dog owners are being warned to be on their guard after a case of Alabama Rot was reported in Lichfield.
National veterinary group Vets4Pets confirmed a case of the illness had been uncovered in the area.

The illness has already killed a number of dogs across the world, including three in Cannock.
The disease causes damage to blood vessels and kidneys and can often be fatal. However, no definitive cause for Alabama Rot has yet been found.
