Residents of Abbots Bromley are celebrating after being named among the winners in Staffordshire’s Best Kept Village competition.
The village took the East Staffordshire prize in the contest which saw 51 areas battling out for the accolade across the county.
John Perry MBE, chairman of Staffordshire Community Council’s Best Kept Village working group, paid tribute to the areas that took part. He said:
“I know that it is not easy to find someone in a village who will take on responsibility for an entry, but I think that community is even more important nowadays. We’d be very happy to see more villages in the competition next year!”
