Sessions designed to get young people active are taking place in Lichfield and Burntwood.
The Getin2it programme has been launched by Lichfield District Council and is aimed at those aged between seven and 25.
Activities on offer include skateboarding, boxing, parkour, dancing, trampolining and UV sports at venues including Burntwood Leisure Centre, Cherry Close and Erasmus Darwin Academy in Burntwood, as well as at Friary Grange Leisure Centre and Minster Hall in Lichfield.
Councillor Iain Eadie, Cabinet member for leisure, said: “We know how important it is for young people to put down their devices and to connect with others in person – not only does it improve their fitness, but it’s also great at improving their social interaction.
“This is why we are encouraging young people to come along and have a go at our range of low cost sessions that have proved really popular over the years. The majority are run in Burntwood, but we do offer a limited number in Lichfield.”
Some sessions are free while others cost £1 or £2.
