The Marston’s Pedigree Ale Trail invites drinkers to buy a pint in one of 11 pubs:

  • The Bowling Green
  • The Queens Head
  • The Horse & Jockey
  • The Scales
  • George IV
  • The Kings Head
  • The Pig and Truffle
  • The Earl of Lichfield
  • The Fountain
  • The Feathers
  • George & Dragon

Along the way, drinkers will be able to pick up an ale trail t-shirt and if they complete the trail they’ll receive a voucher entitling them to two free passes to go on the Marston’s Brewery Tour.

A spokesman for the company said:

“We picked Lichfield as the first location because we feel that the heritage of the city reflects Marston’s traditional approach to brewing Pedigree. Also, as one of Lichfield’s most famous sons Samuel Johnson said ‘there is nothing which has yet been contrived by man, by which so much happiness is produced as by a good tavern or inn.

“The ale trail will give people the opportunity to sample both a great pint and a lovely city.”

The ale trail will run until July 31. For more information visit participating pubs.
