Paul Holt’s Lichfield City side will face another of their rivals from the top end of the table when they entertain Bolehall Swifts tomorrow (March 23).
With last Saturday’s fixture against Coventry Copsewood falling foul of the weather, City have slipped to tenth in the Midland Combination Premier Division table.
But with two games in hand – and in some cases five – on the sides above them, Lichfield will now that victory at their ninth placed opponents could be crucial come the end of the season.
Liam Holt is likely to be back in contention after a leg injury as City look for three points that could instantly catapult them into the top six.
Kick-off at Brownsfield Park tomorrow is at 3pm.
Lichfield City’s reserves travel to face Gresley’s second string.
