Police in Lichfield are appealing for witnesses after a woman and her teenage son were threatened in their Fradley home during a burglary.
The incident happened at 12.15pm on Monday (June 20) when a man walked into a house in Common Lane. He stole money and car keys but did not take the car. He left on foot in the direction of the A38.
The woman and son were uninjured but extremely shocked.
The offender is described as around 6ft tall, with an olive-coloured complexion and spoke with a foreign accent. He wore a navy-blue waterproof jacket, dark blue jeans and a black balaclava.
Officers are particularly keen to speak to two white male teenagers who were seen to pass the home near the time of the offence and may be witnesses.
The family involved are offering a financial reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the offender.
Any witnesses should ring Staffordshire Police on 0300 123 4455, quoting incident 323 of 20 June, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
