Detectives are appealing for witnesses after the theft of petrol from Morrisons in Lichfield.
At around 1pm on August 30 a black Honda Civic type R vehicle was driven onto the forecourt and the male driver filled the car with fuel. He then got back in, reversed off the forecourt and drove off without paying for the fuel.
It is believed the vehicle was stolen from the Lichfield area late last year. The driver is suspected to be involved in a series of vehicle break-ins in the West and East Midlands areas. These thefts took place in Uttoxeter, Burton, Shenstone and Barton. The car is believed to be on cloned plates, currently bearing the registration FH55 XCR.
The driver of the vehicle is described as white, in his early twenties, with shaven hair.
