Appeal after theft of medication from Burntwood pharmacy

Police are appealing for information after medication was taken from a Burntwood pharmacy.

Offenders broke into Lloyds Pharmacy at Sankey’s Corner, Chase Terrace, between approximately 10.45pm on Monday (July 4) and 1am this morning.

Cosmetics, perfumes and a controlled drugs cabinet were taken. The cabinet contained various Class A drugs including Morphine Sulphate tablets, Oxycontin tablets, Durogesic patches and Temazepam.

Officers have warned that the drugs could prove dangerous in the wrong hands.

It is believed the offenders used a black-coloured Mitsubishi vehicle to leave the scene.

Anyone who comes across the drugs, or has any information on the break-in, is urged to call Staffordshire Police on 0300 123 44 55 quoting
