PEOPLE living in Armitage and Handsacre are being asked to have their say on plans to improve local bus services.
The area is part of a pilot project, with Staffordshire County Council looking at how to enhance connectivity, reliability and accessibility.
Armitage, Handsacre and Rugeley were chosen for the trial due to new housing developments being built in the area likely to create higher demand for public transport.
An online survey is hoping to find out what would encourage greater use of buses so that initiatives can be tested.
Through the year-long trial, aspects such as clearer passenger information and fare offers will be explored too in a bid to increase passenger numbers.
Cllr Andrew Mynors, cabinet member for connectivity at Staffordshire County Council, said:
"Local attributes make this an ideal location for this initiative, meaning we can get the most out of the study and hopefully lay the foundations for lasting improvements not only for this area, but communities across Staffordshire.
"After its evaluation, we can look to carry out similar projects to improve bus services in other areas.
"We’d urge people now to complete the survey and help to shape future public transport improvements in their town."
The survey is open until the end of July.
