An art contest is returning to the city for a third year.
The Lichfield Prize, organised by emporium in association with the Lichfield Festival, will have the theme of ‘Shadow’ for 2016.
The organisers want emerging and established artists to battle it out for the chance to win £500 in cash, courtesy of tinyCOW, and a solo exhibition at emporium.
Finalists will go on display in Lichfield Cathedral during the Lichfield Festival.
A spokesperson said: “Artists are invited to creatively interpret the ‘Shadow’ theme with paintings, drawings, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, mixed media or photography.”
