Aston Villa’s Old Stars had goalkeeper Derek Dudley to thank for helping them retain The Crown Cutting Cup in a charity match at Chasetown FC.
The stars of yesteryear helped to raise more than £7,500 for good causes as they took on a team from Crown Cutting Services.
The game finished 2-2 after Villa striker Martin Carruthers tucked home two late goals.
But the penalty shootout saw Dudley save three spot-kicks to secure the bragging rights for another year.
A number of former Villa players turned out for the fixture, including a rare appearance by Chris Price.
