Beacon Park will host the events, starting with a pond dip day on July 26. Costing £1, the sessions run hourly from 10am to 2pm and will see youngsters exploring the stream to find diving beetles, freshwater shrimp and water scorpions.

On July 28, a bug hunt day will see rangers leading a hunt for creepy crawlies such as woodlice, earwigs, ladybirds, brush crickets and shield bugs. The one hour sessions cost £1 and run at 10am, 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm.
