Lichfield City have been boosted by the news that goalkeeper Craig Johnson has turned down a move away from the club.

The highly-rated stopper had been targeted by Evo Stik South club Romulus.
However, he has opted to stay with City – a decision which has delighted his manager Paul Holt.
“His decision is a massive boost for the club,” said the Lichfield boss. “Craig is the best keeper I’ve seen at this level and is an integral part of what we are trying to achieve.
“I am not surprised that other clubs are starting to look at our players as they have done superb since I’ve took over and I couldn’t ask any more of them.”
