A FILM night is coming to a Burntwood church.
St Anne’s will screen Alan Bennett's The Choral on 18th June.
Set in a small Yorkshire town during World War One, the movie tells the story of a Choral Society determined to find new recruits, despite most local men being lost to the army.
They engage a controversial new choir master, recently returned from a career in Germany, who unites a ragtag group of teens and townsfolk to perform Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius.
The evening will begin at 7pm with live music from the Burntwood U3A Choir, with the film being shown at 7.30pm.
Entry is free with donations welcome.
