A Burntwood councillor is calling for local groups to get their hands on a slice of funding to support initiatives that benefit the area.

Around £8,000 will be up for grabs in Burntwood Town Council’s Grant Aid Scheme which benefits local organisations who make a difference.
Cllr Sue Woodward said: “There is so much good work that goes on throughout the town by volunteers and community organisations and we’re looking forward to helping them to meet at least some of their costs.
“A little support can go a long way so we look forward to getting lots of good ideas to meet the town’s needs.
“Residents always say that the best thing about the town is its people and I’m sure this will be reinforced by the applications that are submitted. So, I want community groups to put their thinking caps on and get their applications in.”
Forms are available by calling 01543 677166 or visiting www.burntwood-tc.gov.uk. Applications must be submitted by September 17.
