Two Burntwood men have been jailed over a bus crash that caused the death of a married couple.
Coach driver Robert Oughton, 53, of Newgate Street, was sentenced to five years and three months in prison, while his business partner John Lote, 61, of Meadway Street, was jailed for three years.
Oughton was behind the wheel when a 1-4-You coach suffered brake failure near Scarborough and hit a car on September 21.
Paul and Deborah Clements, of Rawmarsh, South Yorkshire, were in the car and were killed instantly.
Leeds Crown Court was told how the coach had not been kept in a roadworthy condition and the braking system had not been checked.
Oughton and Lote both admitted manslaughter due to gross negligence at a previous hearing. Oughton also admitted causing death by dangerous driving.
