Staff at a Burntwood-based nursery firm have been busy as bees to raise money for charity.

Staff at Busy Bees Nursery held a Gruffalo-themed cake competition for Comic Relief, dressed up in red for the day and submitted creative Gruffalo cakes, which the children from the Burntwood nursery judged to choose a winner.

Managing director at Busy Bees, Lynn Woodward, said:

“Everyone put so much effort in creating the Gruffalo cakes. I had no idea we had so many talented cake decorators working here. Red Nose Day is an event we encourage all our nurseries to take part in, as it’s not only fun for the children, but also helps raise awareness and money for a worthy cause.”
