A bus operator has re-assured people in Burntwood that improvements to its services are on the way.
Local residents have complained about the unreliability of Arriva’s services through the town.
But now the company’s area director, Rob Cheveaux, has met with local councillor Sue Woodward to address some of the concerns.

“It was a really useful meeting,” said Cllr Woodward. “Rob fully acknowledged that reliability, punctuality and communications had not been as good as they should be, but explained some recent changes which will bring about improvements.
“These include new ways of working at the depot, new staff, better engineering services to limit breakdowns and a greater focus on customer care and relations and improved marketing.
“Rob also showed me the brand new Sapphire Service buses which were very impressive.”
Cllr Woodward said the Arriva boss had also offered to meet up with local groups in a bid to improve services.
