Green-fingered Burntwood residents are getting ready to battle it out for the town’s annual gardening competition.
The Burntwood in Bloom 2012 contest has been launched with entries accepted until June 28.
Councillor Eric Drinkwater, Chairman of Burntwood Town Council, said: “Burntwood Town Council is encouraging schools, businesses and residential gardeners to fill in their entries to the Burntwood in Bloom competition.
“This is becoming a very prestigious event, with the 2011 overall winners, Brian and Judy Littler of Cannock Road, accepted into the National Garden Scheme.”
Entry forms have already been widely distributed but if you need one they can be collected in person from Unit 1 Lambourne House, Bridge Cross Road, Burntwood or it can be downloaded from www.burntwood-tc.gov.uk.
