Local groups and organisations are being invited to help Santa out this Christmas.
Lichfield Round Table are looking for people to join them on their Christmas tableau route to collect money from local residents to be given out to good causes.
A spokesperson said: “We knock on doors and spread Christmas cheer with Santa on our specially made float.
“However, we can’t do it alone – and this is where your good cause or charitable organisation comes in. Can you provide a minimum of 15 volunteers who are aged 16 or over, and can spare one evening in December? If so, then good news, you can apply to take part in our annual collection.”
Around 20 groups are needed, but demand is usually high so this year an application process has been put in place.
Interested groups can visit the Lichfield Round Table website and click on the Santa’s Christmas Float link to fill in an application form.
This year, the float will start on December 1 and be out every night until December 23.
