A FREE lunchtime concert series in Lichfield will continue with a performance by Cameroonian musician Muntu Valdo.

The Home at The Hub showcase takes place at midday on 24th June at The Hub at St Mary's.

Munto's mix of raw vocals and emotive guitar lines using loops and effects have seen him appear across the world performing alongside the likes of Ali Farka Toure, Manu Dibango, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Damon Albarn, Richard Bona and Lucinda Williams.

The concert will offer a sneak preview of his new project written against the backdrop of humanitarian and refugee crises across the globe.

Anthony Evans, creative director at The Hub at St Mary's, said:

"Muntu takes Cameroonian traditions, blends them with jazz and blues influences and creates mesmerising music."
