A LICHFIELD care home is preparing to celebrate its first anniversary with a Disney-themed community event.
Stowe Mount opened its doors on Scotch Orchard for the first time in May 2025.
To mark the milestone, residents and staff will be welcoming the community to enjoy live entertainment, stalls from local businesses, food and refreshments.
Children from Scotch Orchard Primary School will be opening the event on 23rd May with a musical performance of classic Disney hits.
Yvonne Combes, who was the first resident to move into the home, said:
“It’s always lovely having people in our home and it will be especially lovely to celebrate this milestone.”
The event will run from 11am to 2pm.
General manager Rebecca Bristow said:
“Everyone at Stowe Mount is so excited to celebrate our first anniversary.
“Over the past year, we’ve created such a strong community, so we can’t wait to mark this milestone with our friends and neighbours.”
