Two cartoon characters are heading to a theme park near Lichfield.
Loony Tunes duo Marvin the Martian and Daffy Duck will star in a 4D cinema show at Drayton Manor Theme Park during the coming season.
The 12-minute film, Marvin the Martian in the 3rd Dimension, tells of an epic battle as Marvin seeks to destroy the earth. Meanwhile, the planet’s only hope of survival lies with Daffy Duck.
The movie will be shown in 3D while the audience sits in specially designed chairs that react to scenes in the film by moving up and down, releasing sprays of water and bursts of air.
Colin Bryan, managing director of Drayton Manor Theme Park, said:
“Marvin the Martian follows on from the success of last year’s Happy Feet and Curse of Skull Rock in 2009. The 4D Cinema is a popular attraction with visitors as it provides a fantastic indoor experience for the whole family to enjoy.”
The film will be shown at regular daily intervals throughout the 2011 season, which runs from March 19 to October 30.
