Households in Lichfield and Burntwood could be in line to claim £200 when they have free loft and cavity wall insulation installed.
Most homes in the region are eligible for the free work, but some – known as super priority groups – could also earn the cashback.
People who receive qualifying income-related benefits can claim £100 back per energy saving measure.
Lichfield District Councillor Ian Pritchard said: “High energy bills are leaving many people’s finances increasingly stretched. Thousands of vulnerable people and families will cut back on their heating this winter, which could put their health at risk.
“Insulating a home can make a massive difference to comfort and to how much it costs. So, we’re urging local people to take advantage while they can.”
Time is running out as the government funding for the initiative is only available until the end of the year. Households need to register with the scheme by the end of November.
