A fundraising karting day in Lichfield has raised more than £700 for the Midlands Air Ambulance.

Teams of drivers from across Staffordshire and the West Midlands took part in an endurance race in aid of the charity.

Winners of the event at Fradley-based Midland Karting celebrated with bubbly on the champion’s podium as they were presented with their trophies by Jo Bailey, Staffordshire Fundraising Manager for the Midlands Air Ambulance.

Circuit manager Garry Mitchell said: “Thank you to everyone who made this such a brilliant event.

“The atmosphere was great and the driving really excellent and we are so delighted to be able to present Midlands Air Ambulance with this donation towards their life-saving work.”
