Budding writers in Lichfield and Burntwood are being invited to take part in a poetry competition.
The contest is designed to help find a new Young Poet Laureate for Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
The winner will take on the post for the year as part of a bid to promote the region as a creative county.
Entrants need to be aged between 14 and 18, and will need to submit two poems along with a list of ideas about what they would do during their time as Young Poet Laureate.
The first poem should be about why Staffordshire is a great place to live or visit, while the second can be on any subject.
Entries must be submitted before July 6.
