People in Lichfield are being invited to find out more about a community project helping older and disabled residents to enjoy cycling.

The Big Red Bike was set up in 2018 and sees volunteers take elderly and other residents out on the electric-powered trishaw.

An information event will be held in the Lichfield District Council chamber at 1.30pm on 15th July.

A spokesperson said:

“Please join us to learn and ask questions about The Big Red Bike and how you can book a slot for an elderly relative or disabled person or join our volunteer team.”

The event will also be a chance for businesses to find out how to support the scheme and a chance to go on a short ride to see how the bike works.

People wanting to attend should email info@thebigredbike.co.uk.
