A Lichfield councillor has helped raise more than £4,300 for Children in Need.
Sue Arnold, who is also Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner, embarked on a charity row.
She was joined by Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis and Staffordshire’s Chief Constable Mike Cunningham for the fundraiser.
The trio rowed the equivalent of the distance from one end of the county and back, raising £4,329 in the process.
“Unfortunately I lost out on the distance against Matthew,” Sue said. “But then it’s always good for the career to let your boss win!”
Both were beaten by Chief Constable Cunningham though – and Commissioner Ellis is already plotting revenge.
“I will really have to emigrate if I lose to the Chief Constable a second time,” he joked.
