A LOCAL charity supporting survivors of domestic abuse has been boosted by a £1,000 donation.
Pathway Project received the money from Platform Housing Group as part of its Christmas Kindness campaign.
The donation will help provide gifts, festive food and essentials for women and children living in the charity’s refuges over the Christmas period.
Djemillah Mourade Peerbux, fundraising and awareness manager at Pathway Project, said:
“Christmas can be an emotional and lonely time for many of the people we support, especially those in our refuges. This generous donation from Platform will help us provide small comforts and special moments, from toys and gifts to festive food.
“It’s a meaningful gesture that shows our community cares.”
Tracey Silk, community engagement officer at Platform Housing Group, said:
