Chasetown FC will hope to lay down a marker for their ambitions in 2014 when they travel to Belper Town.
The Scholars will be hoping for a repeat of their form at the start of 2013 which saw them win 15 of their final 22 league games and gatecrash the play-off party.
Craig Harris’ men are currently in 13th place – 11 points off the play-off berths – after a win against Eastwood Town on Saturday.
But returning from Belper on Saturday (January 11) with a victory could see them climb a place and close the gap on a clutch of clubs with one eye on an end of season extension to the league campaign.
However, the hosts have their own promotion ambitions and have not been beaten in their last five league outings.
Chasetown will be able to take heart from the reverse fixture in September where they were only undone by a penalty in a 1-0 defeat.
